LODGING & MEALS: A Badlands Tactical Facility standard room is included complimentary with each course booking. Individual meal packages are not included, although participants will have access to a commercial kitchen and dining area. Badlands Tactical main facility is located 10-15 miles from multiple towns, and 28 miles from Wichita Falls, TX.

We suggest arriving at Badlands Tactical main facility the evening prior to course commencement.

THE COURSE: The LR Essentials course begins at the basic level, providing shooters with instruction in external ballistics, AB solvers, and practical LR application. AB Trainers will continue to introduce more difficult long-range engagements as you develop core shooting abilities and build on AB solver employment. This course teaches you to ring steel at 1000 yards using AB devices.

This course develops the fundamental shooting foundations, while teaching shooters how to effectively hit targets at 1000 yards using Applied Ballistics solvers. Shooters are presented with classroom and range time over three days, culminating in various target engagements out to 1000 yards.

HOURS: Course participants are requested to meet at the Badlands Tactical main office no later than 7:30am to commence the first day of training. Course hours thereafter will be 8:00am – 5:00pm. AB Trainers will also be available for follow up discussion and questions upon completion of each training day.

PRE-REQS: US citizen or US person
Participants must be able to produce proof of citizenship or residency status upon request.

Basic LR shooting experience is highly desirable to engage with course content. Participants must possess competence in exercising weapon safety and handling.

PHYSICAL: Be prepared for three days of range shooting regardless of unfavorable weather conditions.

MERCH BUNDLE: An AB Reference Bundle and ABTD swag bag will be shipped to the provided address after signup.

EQUIPMENT: Bring your personal AB device or take the opportunity to select between a training Kestrel 5700 ELITE AB or Garmin Foretrex 701B.
